District Election Officer held a meeting with representatives of political parties.

Balodabazar. Collector and District Election Officer Deepak Soni held a meeting with political party representatives on Wednesday regarding the special in-depth revision of the voter list, as directed by the Election Commission of India, with reference to January 1, 2026. In the meeting, detailed information was provided regarding the program and process related to the special in-depth revision of the voter list issued by the Commission.

Collector Soni stated that the training program for officers and master trainers has begun. The training of BLAs is to be completed by November 3. He appealed to representatives of all political parties to provide the list of BLAs promptly and to participate and cooperate in the revision work. He stated that the special in-depth revision of the voter list must be completed with complete transparency and on time. Identity cards must be presented along with the counting sheet. 13 types of documents have been accepted for identity card which include identity card issued by Central or State Government, Pension Payment Order, Identity card issued by Government or local body, Bank Post Office, PSU, LIC, Birth certificate issued by competent authority, Passport, Matriculation certificate, Permanent Residence, Caste certificate, Forest Rights Certificate, National Register of Citizens, Family Register, Land and Housing Allotment Certificate, Aadhar Card, Bihar SIR Voter List.

It was informed that a special intensive revision of the voter list was done earlier in the year 2003. As per the instructions of the Commission, the current voter list has been frozen. Currently there are a total of 1014 polling stations in the district including Bilaigarh Assembly and the total number of voters is 951555.
