A deputation of All J&K Gaddi Sabha led by its J&K president Parveen Jaryal called on Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda at New Delhi and submitted a memorandum of demands.
The deputation comprised of senior members of Tribal Association including Shiv Brahmin, Sardar Singh, Kishore Kumar and Pawan Kumar submitted a memorandum of demands to the Union Minister highlighting the most genuine demands of Gaddi, Sippi and other tribes.
The demands projected in the memorandum were constitution of Tribal Development Board in J&K at par with other states and UTs and construction of hostels for accommodation of Gaddi Sippi students at all tehsil and district headquarters.
Earlier, the deputation members expressed their gratitude to the Minister for inclusion of Koli tribe and Gadda Brahmins in the Scheduled Tribe category.
