Jagdalpur. There has been a demand to build a dog house in Jagdalpur, the only municipal corporation of Bastar division. BJP’s woman councilor Deepti Pandey has put this demand in the Municipal Corporation House in view of the increasing menace of dogs. The councilor told that by doing this the menace of stray dogs will reduce in the city.

Female councilor Deepti Pandey said that “the number of stray dogs has increased in Jagdalpur Municipal Corporation. Incidents due to stray dogs are being seen in 48 wards of the city. The matter was brought to the notice of the Animal Department. But No effect could be seen. The way cow shelters have been made in every Municipal Corporation, Nagar Panchayat, Gram Panchayat of Chhattisgarh. On the same lines, a dog shelter should also be made by marking a place, where dogs will also be sterilised. They demand from the state government that they should take a serious note of this matter and set up a dog shelter in the city.”

The Mayor of the Municipal Corporation, Safira Sahu, also accepted this serious problem and said that “the residents of the city are troubled because of the stray dogs. The dog house is also mentioned in the budget presented on March 31. By making a proposal of 1 crore, the government for the dog house It has been sent to As soon as the work is approved, there has also been talk of building a dog house in the city in the coming days.”
