Decomposed Body of contractual worker rescued from Jajpur Police suspects foul play

Jajpur: Police rescued the decomposed body of the contractual worker Silu Pradhan late on Friday night, who was missing for the past four days. Pradhan was found buried under the bleaching plant of the private company he was employed in.

From preliminary investigation, police has deduced that he was murdered by a group of friends. The deceased Silu Pradhan, son of Akhay Pradhan was a resident of Brahmanbati village under Gandiya police station limits in Jajpur district.

According to the sources, police rescued the body in the presence of Pradhan’s family members who confirmed his identity. Forensic team reached the spot and collected the samples following the identification of the deceased.

Police sent the body for post mortem to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) this morning. On the other hand, police is enquiring the employees of the private company. Further investigation will unfurl the details of the crime.

According to the family members, Silu went to work four days ago and did not return home. The worried family members asked for help from the police only to be neglected. They protested in front of the private company to know about the whereabouts of Silu following which police started an investigation into the matter.
