New Delhi: A unique case of theft has come to light in Dwarka area of Delhi. Where a woman defrauded her mother of lakhs. According to Dwarka DCP Ankit Singh, a woman named Kamlesh, resident of Sevak Park, Uttam Nagar, registered a case of theft in her house in broad daylight on January 30, stating that gold worth thousands was stolen between 2 and 2:30 pm. The Warka District Robbery Investigation Team found that no one had forcefully entered the house to commit the crime. The police also did not find the locks of the main door and cupboard damaged. After this, the team examined the CCTV footage of the incident spot and found that a woman wearing a black burqa had entered the house suspiciously. Police 31 year old Sweta is the eldest daughter of the applicant.

During interrogation it was revealed that he experienced feelings of jealousy and hatred because his mother loved his younger sister more. He also had a loan which he had to repay. That’s why he hatched this conspiracy. She gave some of the jewels to her mother for safekeeping, and the mother saved the rest for her youngest daughter’s wedding. The accused stole all the jewellery.

According to the police, as part of the conspiracy, Shweta went to live in a house located in Sevak Park of Uttam Nagar in January. After his younger daughter left for work, Kamlesh helped his elder daughter keep household items for two days. Taking advantage of this, Sweta stole the keys of her mother’s house on January 30 and left the house on the pretext of taking them with her. She went out, then wore a burqa bought in a public toilet a few days earlier and went to her mother’s house, opened the main door with the key and cupboard and also stole jewelery and money. Later, when the theft came to light, she also came to express her grief. He told the police that he sold his mother and sister’s jewelery to jewellers. Police confiscated the jewellery.
