Rajnandgaon. In an important decision, due to non-payment of compensation in a land compensation case on time, the local Additional District Judge (Special Court) has ordered the attachment of the car of the Collector of Rajnandgaon. An order has been passed to compensate the applicant from the amount recovered from the attachment. Regarding the matter, the Additional District Judge has ordered to seize the collector’s car and recover the amount. According to the information received by advocate Arjundas Vaishnav regarding the case, on 26 February 2012, during the road construction, four rooms of the private residence of Vaidehi Devi were demolished by the administration in the name of widening.
Even after the house was demolished in 2012, compensation was waited for 3 years, but after not getting proper compensation, an appeal was made to the court in 2015 regarding the matter. The victim had demanded a compensation amount of approximately Rs 27 lakh 16 thousand. In the name of road widening, the administration demolished the house despite it being in the name of Vaidehi Devi. On June 22, 2023, the court passed an order to provide compensation, but the administration ignored the court’s order and did not take any initiative to provide compensation. The numbers of the vehicles of Collector Rajnandgaon, ADM and Nazul Adhikari were given by the advocate. In which the court issued an order to seize the collector’s car and recover the amount.
