Durg Municipal Corporation’s Assistant Building Officer Girish Dewan along with his team had gone to break the construction of illegal occupants in Kundapara located in Ward 34 Saraswati Nagar on Monday afternoon. As soon as they fired a bulldozer on the illegal construction there, angry people attacked the team with bricks and stones lying there. The women also abused the corporation team. When the women police force tried to stop the women, they also danced with them. At the same time, the people of the colony started pushing and shoving with the policemen and the team of the corporation. Seeing the matter escalating, the building officer stopped the action and after that they came back. BO says soon they will go to demolish the construction with more police force.
Assistant Building Officer Girish Dewan said that he had received a complaint that 12 people had made illegal constructions on government land in Kunderapara. The corporation had given notice to those people thrice to remove the construction. Some people allege that they got the notice only once. These are the people who have created the new.
