Actually the matter is of Lateri police station area of Surajpur district, where on September 9, a person named Sitaram reached the Surajpur SP office and lodged a complaint against 11 people including Ram Prasad, Ramdhan of the village for assault. Taking immediate cognizance of the complaint, the District SP directed the Lateri police station to take immediate action. As per the instructions of the District SP, the police team started investigating and reached the village to collect the correct facts. The police who reached the village were shocked when they came to know that the accused of assault, Ram Prasad and Ramdhan, had died in the year 2020 and 2021. At first, the police thought that the family members were trying to save the accused, but when the relatives of the deceased showed the death certificate, they were shocked.
In such a situation, the biggest question before the police was that how can those who died 4 years ago assault someone? At present, the police is investigating the whole matter, while the relatives of the deceased are demanding strict action against the complainant.
