Raigarh. There is a poultry farm of Animal Husbandry Department in 6.75 acres of Kelo Vihar in the middle of the city. Which is going to go away now. The Housing Board will come up with a residential project at this place, in which government quarters will also be built. With the special initiative of Collector Taran Prakash Sinha, this project has been approved by the government.
Giving more information about this, Executive Engineer Housing Board Shashikant Sharma said that under the redevelopment plan, the poultry farm located in Kelo Vihar is being shifted. The Housing Board will get about 6.5 acres of land here. In which a housing project will be launched on 5.50 acres. Government houses will be built on 1.25 acres of land. Collector Taran Prakash Sinha took special initiative for the project being prepared under the redevelopment plan. The proposal was prepared after surveying the land. Which was passed and sent to the high powered committee of the cabinet before the government. From there also the proposal has got the green signal. After which the process of allotment of land has been started. Which will be completed in the next 1 month. EE Housing Board Shashikant Sharma said that preparations are on to start the project in the next two months with the architect’s plan.
EE Housing Board Shashikant Sharma said that about 85 MIG duplex individual houses, 48 MIG flats and 48 LIG flats would be built in this project. Apart from this, 20 shops will also be built here. The project will also have facilities like club house, garden, parking etc. 54 government houses will be prepared in the remaining 1.25 acres.
Shifting of poultry farm will provide great relief, beautiful colony will take shape
Due to the presence of the poultry farm in the middle of the residential area, there were complaints of stench and filth. Deputy Director Animal Husbandry Mr. Tanwar told that the poultry farm is being shifted to Sambalpuri. After shifting, the residents of the area will get relief from these problems. At the same time, a beautiful colony will also take shape here. About 20 shops will open here under the project. Due to which a good market will also develop here.
Project prepared from redevelopment scheme
Giving information about the project, EE Shri Sharma said that this project is being launched under the redevelopment scheme of Chhattisgarh government. Under this scheme, such government buildings or land which were earlier on the outskirts of the city but today are part of the city. If that land can be put to better use, then work will be done there under the redevelopment plan. Under this scheme, the poultry farm of the Animal Husbandry Department at Kelo Vihar will also be shifted and residential buildings will be constructed there.
