CM Vishnudev Sai’s instructions, set up health camps to prevent malaria and diarrhea

Raipur: Sensitive Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has instructed the health department and related departmental officials to run awareness campaigns for the prevention and protection of seasonal diseases. He has said that on receiving information about seasonal diseases including malaria, diarrhea, people-borne diseases in any area of ​​the state, the health staff should immediately set up health camps and ensure treatment of the affected. Sai has instructed the health department officials to ensure adequate storage of all necessary life-saving medicines for the prevention of seasonal diseases including malaria, diarrhea and on receiving information, immediately send the necessary medicines to the affected areas and ensure treatment, so that possible loss of life can be avoided.

As per the instructions of Chief Minister Sai, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma visited the remote forest villages Chilfi, Jhalmala and Taregaon Jungle, Sonwahi of Bodla development block of Kabirdham district and took health related information. He reached village Sonwahi and met the villagers and the family members of the diarrhea-affected family and assured them of all possible help from the state government. Deputy Chief Minister Sharma expressed his deep condolences on the sudden death of two villagers in village Sonwahi yesterday. He inspected the temporary health camp set up in the tribal boys hostel of village Sonwahi and talked to the patients. He instructed the doctors to provide better medical facilities. The Deputy Chief Minister instructed the district administration that there is a need to make an effective action plan to prevent seasonal diseases, diarrhea, vomiting diarrhea and waterborne diseases in the plain areas including the forest area. He instructed the collector to organize health camps in the forest areas and run awareness campaigns for the prevention of seasonal diseases including malaria and diarrhea.

Deputy Chief Minister Sharma instructed to purchase sonography machine from DMF in the government hospital of remote forest area Chilfi, Jhalmala and Taregaon forest. He instructed to organize health camps and clone water sources in all the villages of the forest area.

Collector Janmejay Mahobe said that Bodla SDM and CMHO were instructed to conduct door-to-door survey. Five villagers have died in Sonwahi due to different reasons and in different places.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. BL Raj said that diarrhea was reported in Sonwahi. As soon as the information was received, doctors and health staff from the nearby Community Health Center Jhalmala reached on July 10 and started the work of health checkup of the villagers by setting up a temporary health camp in the Adivasi Bal Ashram hostel of the village. On the second day, on July 11, on the instructions of the Collector, additional health teams from the district level and Chilfi were sent and deployed in village Sonwahi.

CMHO Dr. Raj said that Sonsingh had returned home after working in his field, he informed his family members about his ill health. After this, he started vomiting and within three to four hours he died at home. According to the villagers, similarly, woman Phulbai also died due to vomiting. The villagers were discussed about the sudden death of two villagers. Prima facie investigation and inquiry revealed that they had eaten poisonous mushrooms. The postmortem report is yet to come, the reason will become clear after the report arrives.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma inspected the temporary health camp and talked to the patients who had come for treatment. Collector Shri Janmejay Mahobe told that there are 194 houses in village Sonwahi, whose total population is 580. There are 12 wells and 02 hand pumps in this village. A Mitanin is also working. He told that the health of the people is being continuously tested in the village on finding symptoms of disease. On July 11, health checkup of 194 people was done, in which 08 people were admitted to the sub health center due to ill health, out of which 07 people had symptoms of seasonal fever and 01 was vomiting. Similarly, on July 12, health check-up of 144 people was done, in which 12 were found to have symptoms of seasonal cold and fever, who have been admitted to the Community Health Center Jhalmala. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma gave instructions to provide better health treatment to all the patients.
