CM Sai spoke about making changes to the land guideline rates.

Raipur. The political atmosphere in Chhattisgarh has heated up following a significant increase in the new collector guideline rates for land transactions. In several districts, the guideline rates have increased by up to 100%, while in some areas, the increase has reached as high as 800%.

The general public, traders, farmers, and political parties are openly protesting against these sudden and steep increases. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has taken note of the situation and clarified that the government will not allow the public to face any hardship.

Chief Minister Sai stated that departmental discussions regarding the guideline rates are still ongoing, and the government is prepared to reconsider them if necessary. He explained that land guideline rates had not been increased since 2017, even though, according to the rules, these rates should be revised annually. He mentioned that there are several positive aspects to the increased guidelines, but these are not yet clearly understood by the public. He assured that if the new rates cause any inconvenience to the general public, the government will review the situation and seriously consider options to provide relief to the people.
