Chief Minister Stalin’s visit to Nellai: A festive atmosphere prevails in the city.

Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is on a two-day visit to Nellai district. During this visit, he will inaugurate the Porunai Museum and distribute various welfare benefits.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is visiting Nellai district today and tomorrow. The district itself is in a festive mood.

Enthusiastic Welcome

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who will depart from Chennai by flight at 11 am today, will arrive in Thoothukudi. From there, he will travel to Nellai by car, where he will receive a grand welcome from the DMK at the district border, KTC Nagar, and Sharada College areas. Nellai East District Secretary Graham Bell and Central District Secretary Abdul Wahab, MLA, were present to welcome him. Thousands of volunteers gathered for his reception.

Christmas Celebration and Museum Inauguration

The Chief Minister, who will rest at the Vannarpet Government Guest House in the afternoon, will participate in a grand ‘Christmas celebration’ at Thakarammalpuram in Palayamkottai at around 6 pm.

Following this, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the ‘Porunai Museum’, built at a cost of Rs. 62 crore on Reddiarpatti Hill Road. He will tour the museum, which showcases the civilization of the Tamils, in a battery-operated car.

On Sunday morning, he will launch various welfare schemes at a grand government function at the Nellai Government Medical College Auditorium.

2,000 Police Officers for Security

In view of the Chief Minister’s visit, tight security arrangements have been made throughout Nellai city. Under the leadership of Nellai City Police Commissioner Santosh Hathimani, a total of 2,000 police personnel, including 250 each from Nellai, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari, and Virudhunagar districts, have been deployed for security. For security reasons, the flying of drones and other aerial devices within the limits of the Nellai Municipal Corporation has been prohibited from 6 AM today (20th) to 6 PM tomorrow (21st). The Commissioner has warned that strict action will be taken against those who violate the ban. Bomb Sweep

Welcome Along a 7 km Stretch

For the Chief Minister’s visit, DMK flags and welcome banners have been erected on both sides of the road for approximately 7 kilometers, from Vannarpet to Thakkiramalapuram. A large pandal (tent) has been constructed to accommodate around 30,000 people at the event. All the roads through which the Chief Minister will travel have been newly laid and look pristine.
