Chhattisgarh: Government will soon take action in the Rs 1200 crore fraud case

Korba. The High Court dismissed the PIL filed demanding an inquiry into the misuse of Rs 1200 crore of Korba’s District Mineral Trust Fund after receiving a reply from the Accountant General. In the reply, it has been told that the expenditure incurred in DMF has been audited and the report will be presented in the Assembly. The state government has to take action on the report.

Chhattisgarh Korba’s social worker Santosh Kumar Rathore and other persons had said in the PIL filed through advocate Sanjay Kumar Agarwal that Korba district has received Rs 1200 crore in DMF, in which corruption has been done in the allocation of works and spending the amount in violation of the rules of DMF. TDS deduction has not been done while paying the bill and annual audit is also not being done.Chhattisgarh News During the hearing of the case on Friday, Accountant General’s advocate Ramakant Mishra informed the Chief Justice’s division bench that the audit of the expenditure incurred in DMF has been submitted to the state government, which is to be presented in the Assembly. Action will be taken by the state government in the case. After hearing the Accountant General’s side, the High Court said that since the demand for investigation has been met and the state government will take action on it, the petition is dismissed.
