Rajeev Kumar had said, “The Election Commission is committed to holding assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir immediately after the Lok Sabha elections.”
The assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will strengthen the government’s position on the global stage, especially amid Western criticism of the government over growing gaps in the democratic process. In a recent interview, talking about the opposition’s “strategy” against him, the Prime Minister had said that the idea was to “humiliate India globally and prevent Modi’s victory because if Modi wins, He will become the most senior among all elected governments.” the world, among all true democratic governments”.
