CBI seized Sameer Wankhede’s phone, shocking allegations in FIR

New Delhi (IANS) | The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), in its FIR filed against former Mumbai Zone Narcotics Control Bureau chief Sameer Wankhede in the Aryan Khan drug seizure case, has alleged that he hid information about his foreign trips and purchase of expensive watches.

The CBI has also seized Wankhede’s mobile phone and sent it to a forensic lab to get the data. A team of experts has been specially formed for this.

In the FIR accessed by IANS, the CBI has made shocking allegations.

Citing the FIR, a CBI source said, “Sameer Wankhede is alleged to be involved in buying and selling of expensive watches without disclosing this information.” He has also allegedly hidden the details of his expenses during his foreign trips.

The CBI has said that some people caught on the cruise were released, while Aryan Khan was arrested. It also mentioned that K.P. Goswami was responsible for Aryan Khan’s arrest. He was presented in such a way that he appeared to be an officer of NCB. Later, Rs 25 crore was demanded to hush up the matter, but in the end the deal was settled for Rs eight crore. Initially Rs 50 lakh was taken, but later some money was returned as the matter got stuck.
