Cabinet Minister Savitri Thakur will represent India at the UN conclave on social development in Dhar.

Madhya Pradesh: Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Savitri Thakur, will represent India at the 64th session of the United Nations Commission for Social Development (CSocD) in New York. The event will begin on Saturday and conclude on February 6.

The Member of Parliament from Dhar will lead the Indian delegation and participate in various sessions at the UN headquarters.

The Commission for Social Development operates under the United Nations Economic and Social Council and focuses on policies related to social inclusion, equality, poverty eradication, social justice, and the welfare of women, children, and marginalized groups.

This annual session provides a platform for member states to review progress in social development, share experiences, and exchange best practices. India’s participation reflects its commitment to global social development efforts.
