The 5G revolution started in India couple of years ago and BSNL is lagging behind in the race. BSNL will be offering 4G and 5G services in 2025 and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reassured it. Even though there were initial delay in the process, TCS has reassured its customers about it.
TCS Chief Operating Officer N. Ganapathy Subramaniam mentioned that the BSNL 4G-5G rollout is in the process. The Telecom Minister of India, Jyotiraditya Scindia had announced that BSNL would launch its 4G services across 1lakh base stations by May 2025. The 5G services will start from June 2025.
If you are a BSNL consumer, this confirmation by BSNL will bring a relief to you. TCS has given the assurance that the implementation is progressing as planned and the rollout will be completed in the previously mentioned time frame. Earlier the central government had mentioned that BSNL’s 4G as well as 5G networks will be entirely indigenous. Both BSNL and TCS are confident about completing the project on time.
TCS has received the BSNL 4G-5G rollout contract in July 2023 and it was given a 24-month timeline for executing the project. Subramaniam mentioned that the progress of the work is in full swing and it will be completed within the deadline.
