Raigarh. An arrest has been made in the physical abuse case. On January 16, 2024, a local girl along with her family members came to the Lailunga police station and filed an application against Parmeshwar Yadav (23 years) of her village for physically abusing her for about 6 months by luring her for marriage. The female sub-inspector of the police station, Maan Kunwar Sidar, interrogated the victim girl in detail and took her statement in which the girl told that Parmeshwar Yadav was friends with her brother. I used to visit Parmeshwar’s house about a year ago, after saying that I like him and will marry him, I took him to the forest near the village in the month of February and had physical relations with him, even after that, Parmeshwar made me have physical relations several times.

Meanwhile, Parameshwar had gone to Chennai to earn money, but whenever Parameshwar came to the village, he used to call him to meet him and have physical relations. This month, Parameshwar returned to the village from Chennai, after explaining his situation to whom Parameshwar asked him to get married soon, but Parameshwar clearly refused to marry him. Then the girl informed her family about their relationship. The family organized a Panchayat meeting in the village, there too Parmeshwar refused to marry and ran away from the meeting. After consultation with the family, a report was lodged at the police station on 16 January. A case of rape was registered against the accused Parmeshwar Yadav in Lailunga police station and taken up for investigation. On receiving information about crime being committed in the police station, Parmeshwar Yadav was hiding from the village and taking shelter in the house of his relatives, who was arrested yesterday by the police station in-charge Lailunga Inspector Mohan Bhardwaj in a raid in Pathalgaon on the information of an informer.
