In a momentous occasion marked by intellectual fervor, Principal of Govt PG College Rajouri, Dr Shamim Azad and Vice Principal Manir Hussain released three Zoology books titled “Principles of Genetics,” “Human Physiology,” and “Wildlife Biology,” authored by Dr Shavish Vaid, Lecturer in the Department of Zoology.
The books were released in the presence of senior faculty members from various departments of the college, including Prof Saleem Ayaz Rather (Head of Zoology Department), Dr Tahir Hussain, Dr Owais, Prof Naveen Sharma, Prof Shoket, Prof Khaleeq and others.
Dr Shamim, in his address, not only commended Dr Shavish for his exemplary contributions but also issued a heartfelt call to action to the faculty members present. “Let Shavish’s achievement be an inspiration to us all,” he declared and encouraged faculty members to share their expertise and insights through the medium of books.
“Writing is not only a means of self-expression but also a profound act of contribution to the collective pool of knowledge, “Dr Shamim remarked, “Let us embrace this opportunity to enrich our academic community and leave a lasting legacy for future generations,” he added.
Prof Saleem Ayaz Rather, Head of the Zoology Department, echoed Principal’s sentiments, extending warm congratulations to Dr Shavish on behalf of the faculty.
Author of the books, Dr Shavish informed that the books had been published by N R Books International, a prestigious publishing house based in Jammu.
