Sonia Gandhi Article The BJP today hit back at Sonia Gandhi’s editorial in which the former Congress president accused the central government of destroying democracy. In fact, in a newspaper today, through her editorial, Sonia accused the BJP central government of systematically destroying all the three pillars of India’s democracy.
Kiren Rijiju’s counterattack
Responding to Sonia Gandhi’s allegations, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Kiren Rijiju have targeted her. Sonia also referred to Law Minister Rijiju’s statement in the article, in which he called some judges ‘traitors’.
Rijiju also hit back at the Congress leader’s attack. He said the Congress MP should refrain from giving lectures about democracy. He said that especially about the independence of the judiciary, the Congress should not even talk, it does not seem right to it.
Democracy is killed only once
Rijiju then shared videos of some of his old speeches attacking the Congress. In the video, Rijiju is seen saying that the Congress talks about the end of democracy, but democracy was murdered only once, in 1975. Actually, the Union Minister was referring to the Emergency imposed in the country by Congress leader Indira Gandhi.
Dharmendra Pradhan condemned Congress
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also condemned Sonia’s article. He described the editorial as a ‘classic example of Modi hatred, misplaced priorities and loss of relevance at the national level’. He said that the Congress should know about the ground reality and clear the confusion.
Sonia surrounded the central government in the article
Congress leader Sonia Gandhi spoke on matters ranging from Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification to the Adani-Hindenburg crisis, slamming the Modi government in her editorial. He accused opposition leaders of suppressing their voices and said that India’s problems cannot be solved by government-imposed silence.
