Bhubaneswar: Leader of Opposition (LoP) and the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President Naveen Patnaik is all set to file his nomination tomorrow for the election of party’s president post.
Patnaik will file his nomination for the BJD President election which is scheduled to be held on April 19. The conch party will go for voting if there is more than one nominations for the election of the president’s post.
However, it is almost certain that no other party leaders are going to file nomination and Naveen Patnaik is to become BJD President for the 9th consecutive term.
The formal announcement of the new President’s name will be announced by party’s State Returning Officer Pratap Keshari Deb on April 19.
Meanwhile, BJD Coordination Committee President Debi Prasad Mishra informed that the party’s State Council and Executive Committee will be constituted within the following two days. The party will also name the Presidents of various wings, he added.
