Bhubaneswar DCP issues alert against deep fakes before elections

Bhubaneswar: Keeping in mind the upcoming general elections, Bhubaneswar DCP has issued an alert regarding deep fakes on Thursday. According to reliable reports, Bhubaneswar DCP fears that deep fakes of politicians may be made viral due to the upcoming elections. It is noteworthy here that the selected police officers of the Commissionerate are being trained in ‘fact checking’ on the internet.

After the training program, trained police officers will be able to identify deep fake videos and photos. The report states that these police officers will be assisted by 20 cyber experts, DCP Bhubaneswar Prateek Singh further said in this matter.
