Bhajan Lal: Political atmosphere heated up after the decision to abolish 9 districts and 3 divisions

Rajasthan: The political atmosphere of the state has heated up after the Bhajan Lal government’s decision to abolish 9 districts and three divisions. State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara has described this decision as undemocratic, irrational and a blow to the interests of the public. Dotasara said that this decision has been taken on a slip of paper and the BJP government has ended the hopes of the public in one stroke. Dotasara said that when the country and the world are bidding a tearful farewell to former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh, at such a time the BJP government has implemented this anti-people decision. He called it unethical and insensitive. Dotasara, while targeting Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, said that with what face will Rajasthan’s Deputy CM Prem Chand Bairwa now go among the public, your district has gone away in your own government.

What are you Deputy Chief Minister for, Bhajan Lal ji saved his district Deeg and abolished Prem Chand Bairwa’s district Dudu. Calling this decision anti-people, he said that the Congress and the general public will oppose it and if needed, the court’s door will also be knocked. Addressing the media, Dotasara said that the Congress government had formed a committee headed by retired IAS officers on the demand of the public, which recommended the creation of these districts. He raised the question why the BJP government ignored these recommendations and hastily decided to abolish the districts. Dotasara took a dig at the BJP government and said that the double engine government has taken such an anti-people decision which cannot even be imagined. He said that in 12 months, the BJP government has not taken any major decision, it has only done the work of abusing the Congress government.

Dotasara announced that the Congress will hold a mass movement against this decision. He said that the BJP government took this decision in the middle of the census and during court holidays, so that people could not file a petition against it in the court. Dotasara said that the Congress will make every effort to withdraw this decision. He said that this decision is against the interests of the public and the Congress will not tolerate it. In fact, after the cabinet and council of ministers meeting held in CMO on Saturday, Bhajanlal government has cancelled 9 new districts and three divisions created in Gehlot Raj. After the decision, now out of 17 new districts in Rajasthan, only 8 new districts Balotra, Didwana, Phalodi, Salumber, Khairthal-Tijara, Deeg, Kotputli-Bahadur and Beawar will remain as they are. At the same time, Dudu, Kekri, Shahpura, Neemkathana, Gangapur City, Jaipur Rural, Jodhpur Rural, Anupgarh, Sanchore have been cancelled. In the decision, Banswara, Pali and Sikar divisions have also been cancelled.
