Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah organized ‘Jan Spandan’ 2.0 at Vidhasoudha here on Thursday, in which over 10,000 affected people from across the state, including from far-flung places, gathered at the state power house.
These complaints included complaints from patients seeking CM funds to meet their healthcare needs, to resolve land disputes.
As more complaints were received against the revenue department, the authorities were forced to set up additional kiosks.
Addressing the function, Siddaramaiah stressed that the people of the state should not be misled by the opposition party’s allegation that his government will stop guarantee-free facilities. “Guarantees are part of the state’s development because they will help reduce poverty and the government will never stop them,” he stressed.
CM directed the officials to ensure resolution of all complaints. “Over 5,000 complaints were received during Jan Spandan 1.0 held on January 27 and most of them, except 200, were redressed,” CM Siddaramaiah claimed.
He directed the officers that if the grievances of the applicants are not resolved then they should resolve all the grievances within the legal framework.
Interestingly, more women complained that they had not received Rs 2,000 per month under the ‘Griha Lakshmi’ guarantee, which surprised the CM. Many men came to meet the CM on behalf of their wives.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also heard the complaint of a woman at his Jan Spandan in Bengaluru’s Vidhana Soudha on Thursday.
