Bengaluru: Deputy Minister Principal received public praise for participating in the “Government at their Doorstep” program and receiving questions from the public despite his illness.
The MCD, despite having 102 degree fever and receiving queries from the public, assisted in the already planned mega program of revival of graves in the areas of RBANMS in the electoral district of Shivajinagar Assembly.
“I didn’t meet him well, but he said he would sell here. So, I am here despite the fact that the doctor suggested me to lie down in bed. He told the public, “The people’s work is God’s work and I can’t afford to lose it.” “Soon will be better sir. You can always come back later”, replied the huge crowd gathered there.
Shweta, who runs a school for children in Tannery Road, raised questions about whether the BBMP should collect taxes levied on school commercial properties. “Don’t worry, we will ensure that commercial tariffs are not imposed”, the MCD assured while ordering officials to rectify the problem.
Bhavya resigned, saying she could not pay the school tuition of her son, who studied at Aloysius School in Shivajinagar. “Give instructions to interested people and everything will be resolved. Make sure your son studies well”, said the MCD.
Responding to the call for regularizing the subcontract workers in BBMP during the last 15 years, Shivakumar said he would discuss the issue once again with the officials concerned. When a visually impaired couple in the crowd raised their questions, the MCD promised to give them some money in cash and resolve their problems.
Speaking at the massive injury repair event, Shivakumar said: “Due to my illness, it is possible that I will not be able to spend a long time with you like in the previous events. But our employees will get their due. They guarantee everyone that all their appeals will be investigated without fail. He met around 7,000 people in the last two days and received their good wishes.
The Deputy Minister Principal also launched three applications: Hasiru Rakshak, Udayan Mitra and Kere Mitra.
Hasiru Rakshak is an initiative in which students plant trees to increase green cover in the city. In the period 2023-24, 52,015 students from 224 matriculated schools will plant approximately one million young trees. All students who cultivate a plant during a period of three years receive a “Hasiru Rakshak” certificate.
Within the framework of the initiative Udayan Mitra decided to transfer the maintenance of the parks to the local public. It will encourage the public to maintain and manage the city’s approximately 1,200 parks.
