Bear found dead near pond

Kanker. In the mountains of Dumali, the bear has died after being hit by a vehicle. The bear was found lying dead in a nearby pond. During the summer, bears come out of the forests and move towards the residential area in search of food and drink.

In this case, the ranger in-charge of Kanker area said that “early in the morning, information was received from the villagers that a bear was lying dead on the banks of the pond. After reaching the spot, the dead bear was sent to the veterinary hospital for post-mortem. Injury marks were found on the bear after colliding with the vehicle. The age of the dead bear is about 15 years and it is female. Villagers have informed that bears are often seen roaming around. The bear died due to the stumbling of an unknown vehicle. Vehicle The bear was hurt by the accident, which died near the pond. A report is also being sent to Kanker Kotwali police station, so that a case can be registered against the unknown vehicle.
