Baba Ramdev’s big statement regarding Owaisi, said – Yogi will get tremendous benefit

Be careful. Political rhetoric has intensified before the assembly elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2027. Meanwhile, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has given a big statement regarding All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi. He said that Owaisi is very good for Uttar Pradesh, because his entry into the electoral fray can divide the votes of some sections. According to Ramdev, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the Bharatiya Janata Party can directly benefit from this vote sharing. His statement has come at a time when political parties are busy making their strategy for the next assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.
Baba Ramdev participated in the Provincial Arya Mahasammelan organized at Babrala in Sambhal district on Monday, 26 October 2026. While talking to journalists after the program, he expressed his opinion on the politics of Uttar Pradesh, the upcoming assembly elections and the role of various political parties. During this time, his comments about Owaisi became a topic of discussion.
Owaisi is very good for Uttar Pradesh: Ramdev
When Baba Ramdev was asked a question about AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s activism in Uttar Pradesh politics, he said, “Whether Owaisi is good for anywhere else or not, he is very good for Uttar Pradesh. Yogi ji will benefit a lot by losing votes of some people because of him.”
This statement of Ramdev came in the context of Owaisi’s comment in which he had said that this time whether Akhilesh Yadav’s government is formed in Uttar Pradesh or not, Abdul’s government will definitely be formed.
Ramdev linked Owaisi’s electoral activism to potential political gains for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saying the division of votes among different parties could strengthen the BJP’s position. However, he did not mention any particular constituency or vote figures.
Gave the answer even after Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister for the third time
Journalists also asked Baba Ramdev whether he wanted to see Yogi Adityanath become the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the third consecutive time. In response to this question, he said that he wants the rule of good spirits in the country.
Referring to the principles of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati and the Vedas, Ramdev said that the country should be ruled by people who have good qualities and positive thoughts.
In his reply, instead of making a direct election appeal in favor of any political party, he talked about the rule of good people. However, his statement regarding Owaisi is being linked to the political equations of the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh.
Will the political equations change in the 2027 elections?
The role of BJP, Samajwadi Party, Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party and other political parties is going to be important in the next elections to be held on 403 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh. AIMIM is also preparing to enter the electoral fray.
In political analysis, it is often believed that in seats where the contest is very close, the votes received by a third or fourth party can affect the difference between victory and defeat.
However, who will benefit or suffer from a political party contesting elections cannot be assessed merely on the basis of guesswork. Popularity of candidates, local issues, social equations and voters’ preferences also influence election results.
Baba Ramdev’s statement is related to this possible vote sharing. He has expressed the possibility that the participation of Owaisi’s party may affect the votes of BJP’s rival parties.
AIMIM wants to oust BJP from power
Contrary to Baba Ramdev’s statement, Asaduddin Owaisi has clarified the political objective of his party and said that AIMIM will contest the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections and wants to stop BJP from coming to power for the third consecutive time.
In a statement given on October 21, 2026, Owaisi had said that his party believes in democratic elections and will raise issues related to the people in Uttar Pradesh.
On the question of possible alliance with Azad Samaj Party, he had also said that it is too early to decide on this matter.
It is clear from this that AIMIM is presenting itself as a party contesting elections in opposition to BJP, whereas Ramdev believes that BJP can get indirect benefit from its electoral participation.
Also expressed displeasure over Mallikarjun Kharge’s comment
Baba Ramdev, while talking to journalists, also reacted to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s alleged remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s father.
He said that no one in politics should make inappropriate comments at personal level. Be it ruling party or opposition, everyone should maintain decorum in their language and behaviour.
On questions related to political allegations and counter-allegations, Ramdev said that statements keep happening among the leaders, but it is necessary to use respectable language in public life.
Questions raised on hypocrisy and superstition in Sanatan Dharma
During the Provincial Arya Mahasammelan, Ramdev also expressed his views on the current situation of Sanatan Dharma. He said that activities like hypocrisy, pretense and superstition in the name of religion are damaging its image.
Ramdev alleged that some people mislead people by using religious symbols, names of gods and goddesses and scriptures.
