Anti-Drone components in Ayodhya which are ready for 24×7 war for air strikes

Anti-drone components: A team of the National Security Guard (NSG) is in Ayodhya and has visited the Ram Mandir and Hanumangarhi temple to carry out mapping, survey, familiarisation and mock drills. According to NSG sources, this team comprising two senior officials will monitor the area as the NSG prepares to set up a hub in Ayodhya. A top-level official said the government has asked the NSG to submit a report on setting up a base for troops in Ayodhya to meet the requirements of the force, including an anti-drone facility that can help secure the area in case of an attack. This unit will have a specialised anti-drone component and will be combat-ready 24×7 to thwart any aerial attacks. “While setting up a hub or centre, the team will analyse the area including sensitive and vulnerable locations and review the infrastructure and buildings, which in this case are temples. The team will document every detail so that in case of an attack they can effectively address the situation. The NSG has set up standard operating procedures that must be followed, and a report will be submitted based on the team’s findings. It is expected that by next year, the NSG will have a hub consisting of a team under the supervision of a senior officer who will monitor Ayodhya and nearby towns in case of an attack.

The search for land to set up the base is currently underway and further plans will depend on the area determined. The NSG has also planned an anti-drone facility for which the team will conduct a survey. The facility will coordinate with the Bomb Data Centre, which collects, collates, analyses and evaluates all terrorist bombing activities reported in India and abroad. The centre also disseminates relevant information to the concerned law enforcement agencies as required. The Ram Temple in Ayodhya, which was inaugurated in January this year, is considered one of India’s most sensitive installations and is believed to be a target of various terror organisations. The NSG had secured the Ram Mandir area during the high-profile ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony held on January 22.
