Andhra Pradesh News: Rajamahendravaram Two Town Police rescues drowning woman

Kakinada. Kakinada: The Rajamahendravaram Two Town police, with the help of fishermen, rescued a woman who had jumped into the Godavari river from the road-cum-railway bridge. The police had received a call that a woman had jumped into the river from the bridge. Two Town Sub-Inspector S. Rathaiah and Constable Leela Kumar rushed to the spot. They alerted fishermen who were fishing in their boats near the spot.
The fishermen immediately rushed to the woman and pulled her out of the river. The police brought the woman to the police station and informed her family. The woman, Duddala Nagalaxmi (40), had jumped into the river due to a family dispute. The police counselled the family and Nagalaxmi before sending her home.
