She used to talk to Nikhil and he said that he likes her and will marry her. In May 2020, Nikhil called her on the pretext of going to the city and took her to his house and made physical relations with her by promising to marry her. The girl said that she was a minor at that time. When she became an adult, she told her family about Nikhil, then her family went to Nikhil’s house with a marriage proposal, Nikhil and his family agreed for the marriage, but now Nikhil refuses to marry and threatens to kill her.
On the application of the girl, a case has been registered against the accused Nikhil under crime no. Crime No. 285/2024 under Section 376(2)(d), 366, 506 IPC, 6 POCSO Act was registered. In accordance with the guidelines given by the Superintendent of Police regarding investigation within the time limit of crimes related to minors and women, Chakradharnagar police immediately raided the house of accused Nikhil father Dayanidhi, 22 years, Govardhanpur police station Chakradharnagar and took the accused into custody, who was produced on judicial remand and sent to jail.
Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel and guidance of City Superintendent of Police Akash Shukla, the accused was arrested within 06 hours of registration of the crime and sent to judicial remand. Police station in-charge Chakradharnagar Inspector Prashant Rao, Sub-Inspector Gend Lal Sahu, Assistant Sub-Inspector Nand Kumar Sarathi and accompanying staff were involved in the entire action.
