Raipur. Preparations are being made by the district administration at various levels in view of the drivers’ strike. A meeting in this regard was held with officials of transporters and oil companies in the Red Cross meeting room located in the Collectorate premises on Tuesday. In which Additional Collector B.B. Panchbhai, Additional SP Sachindra Choubey and Kirtiman Rathore were present. In the meeting, Panchbhai said that petrol-diesel, cooking gas and other supplies come under essential services.
Therefore, keeping in view the human perspective, all transporters should discuss with their drivers and continue providing the facilities. It was said in the meeting that the numbers of senior police officers of the concerned area will be written in all the depots and it will be issued among the vehicle drivers, so that they can be provided security if needed at the time of supply. Transporters and oil companies were assured that they will be provided all possible assistance if required. Food Officer Arvind Dubey and other officials were present in the meeting.
