Accident:An old man was crushed to death by a truck trailer

Ferozepur: Today, at the light crossing near the Ferozepur Cantonment bus stand, a big truck trailer coming from Rajasthan with high speed and negligence crushed an old man going on an Activa scooter, who died on the spot.

It is said that there is no traffic police personnel at the light crossing for the last several days and today morning the driver of the truck trailer fled from there immediately after crushing this person. The deceased person has been identified as Ved Prakash Gupta son of Krishan Chand Gupta resident of Mohalla Budhwara Wala Ferozepur city and his family is in a bad condition crying.

As soon as the incident came to light, the police reached there and the truck has been taken into custody by the police and the body of the deceased has been sent to Civil Hospital Ferozepur for postmortem and action is being taken to arrest the truck driver.
