Dantewada. A baby deer strayed from the forest and reached Balud Road area. As soon as the deer calf entered the residential area, the dogs started chasing it. The baby deer kept circling the entire village to save itself. While trying to escape from the dogs, the deer entered a farmer’s house. When the owner of the house saw an army of dogs outside the house, he came to know that a baby deer had taken shelter in his house. The owner of the house first gave water to the baby deer and then tied it inside the house with the help of a rope. The deer had got injured while trying to escape from the dogs, so the farmer also bandaged it lightly. The farmer immediately informed the forest department team about the discovery of the deer. The forest department team also reached the village on the information of the farmer and took the deer under its protection.
The deer was injured at many places and was even bitten by dogs at some places. The forest department team gave first aid to the deer and took it with them.
