40 Odia youths stranded in Maldives, appeal for rescue through video message

Bhubaneswar: More than 40 Odia youths have been stranded in Maldives. They have appealed to the state government through a video message for rescue.

As per the video message the employer company did not pay money after work. If they would ask for money, even the electricity supply line to their rooms were cut off. The said forty youths from Odisha include 15 youths from Khalikote area of Ganjam district.

The stranded youths were working in a company named Gan Ignes in the Maldives. After working for a month, the company did not pay them properly.

As they asked for money, the company authorities cut off the electricity supply line to their room.

The stranded workers have appealed Odisha state government to rescue them immediately.
