A total of 293 people have been killed and 521 injured in 436 terrorist attacks in Pakistan since January this year. ISPR, the media wing of the army, gave this information. The DG said that this year, security forces conducted 8,269 major and minor intelligence-based operations, in which 1,535 terrorists were either killed or arrested. The official said that on an average more than 70 operations are being conducted daily by the police, security forces and other law enforcement agencies across the country. He said, there is no no-go area in Pakistan due to the tireless efforts of the people and the army. However, several groups of terrorists are active in some areas, which are being eliminated daily. During these operations, a huge cache of arms and ammunition has been recovered from the terrorists and their handlers. He said that 137 army personnel were martyred while 117 were injured in the operation. Talking about the internally displaced people after operations in tribal areas, he said 95 per cent of them have returned home after restoration of peace.
