29 houses were allotted to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Bhilai. Under the government’s ambitious scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana More Makaan-Mon Aas component, houses have been constructed in the Bhilai Municipal Corporation area. Under this scheme, houses are being allotted to citizens living on rent in the Bhilai Municipal Corporation area as per the government rules. This includes senior citizens, disabled and general category citizens. Only those beneficiaries who have previously submitted applications for housing and who meet the eligibility category have been allotted these houses.

Today, Mayor Neeraj Pal and Commissioner Rajiv Kumar Pandey allotted houses to the beneficiaries through lottery with their own hands. The lottery was drawn by the beneficiaries themselves and the unit on whose slip the beneficiary’s name came out was allotted a house. Houses have been allotted to the beneficiaries at these places, disabled and senior citizens got four ground floor houses, general people got 25 houses, a total of 29 houses were allotted. In which the beneficiaries have deposited 10 percent amount. After depositing the remaining full amount, they will be given the keys of the house. Houses have been allotted in these areas; 4 houses of Khamhariya behind Surya Vihar, 22 houses of Khamhariya behind Krishna Engineering, 1 of Avinash Metropolis, 1 of Khamhariya behind Surya Vihar and 1 constructed house of Amrapali Housing Board have been allotted to the beneficiaries.

During the housing allotment, MIC member Chandrashekhar Gavai, Superintending Engineer Deepak Joshi, Executive Engineer Vinita Verma, Housing Incharge Vidyadhar Engineer Deepak Devangan, Namrata Thakur, Public Relations Officer Ajay Shukla along with officers and employees of the corporation were present.
