2 men who had eaten beef mixed mutton at Jaya hotel, get tonsured in Puri

Puri: In the case of beef mixed mutton allegedly served at Jaya hotel, a roadside dhaba near Sakhigopal in Puri district of Odisha, recently, the two persons who had consumed the said mutton, visited Puri today and executed the rites of penance.

They got themselves tonsured at the holy Narendra Pond, sought forgiveness before the pundits of the Mukti Mandap and had darshan of Lord Jagannath at the famous Srimandira to get rid of the sin they unknowingly performed by eating beef mixed mutton.

As per reports, the two men, Kailash Chandra Parida and Jogendra Mallick have executed the prescribed rituals to get rid of the sin for eating beef.

As per reports, the two men got tonsured, drank cow dung water, bathed in the holy Narendra pond, had darshan of Lord Jagannath and Lord Lokanath and sought forgiveness at the Mukti Mandap.

It is to be noted that earlier, they had eaten mutton curry at the Jaya Dhaba in Sakhi Gopal. However, later it was found that beef had been mixed with the mutton they had been served. Accordingly, Police took action and sealed the hotel and took up investigation.
