157 men have applied under Subhadra Yojana, says Dy CM Pravati Parida

Bhubaneswar: In a rather hilarious incident, as many as 157 men were found to have applied for the flagship scheme of Odisha government, Subhadra Yojana. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has informed this.

The Odisha government after the General elections announced to introduce a scheme to uplift the women in Odisha. The government in its flagship Subhadra Yojana vowed to pay Rs 10,000 in two installments to the women of Odisha. For the same the eligible beneficiaries were asked to apply for it. They were asked to link their bank accounts with Aadhar cards for enrollment.

Speaking to the media, Deputy CM Pravati Parida said that 157 men have applied for the scheme meant exclusively for women.
