Jajpur: In a shocking incident, a 12-year-10 month-9 days old girl reportedly eloped with a youth allegedly after drugging her own family members in the Kuakhia police station limit area of Odisha’s Jajpur district.
Sources said that the minor girl added drugs in the food of her family members including her parents and three siblings yesterday night and when they fell unconscious, she collected some valuables including gold ornaments and cash and fled with the youth, who is identified as Deepak Sethi.
Currently, all the five members of the family are undergoing treatment at the Jajati Keshri Medical College and Hospital in Jajpur, said the sources adding that though each of them are out of danger, but the incident has become a talk of the town in the locality surprising everyone.
Meanwhile, the elder uncle of the girl alleged that she took the decision to drug the entire family and ran away with Deepak only because she was brainwashed by him and forced by him when she had gone to the school yesterday. After teaching giving her the drug and teaching her what to do, the youth had come on a bike to pick her up, he alleged.
The minor girl’s elder uncle informed that they would file a case against the youth after the family members get discharged from the hospital.
