Zomato Delivery boy eats customer’s food after dispute over doorstep delivery

A discussion has emerzed among social media users regarding doorstep delivery service after a video of a Zomato Delivery boy eating customer’s food after an argument over delivering order at his doorstep late at night has gone viral.

The incident occurred at late night around 2.30 AM. In the video, the delivery boy claimed that he reached the location to deliver the order at 2.30AM and asked the customer to take the food. However, instead of coming downstairs to take food, the customer yelled at him on call and told him to deliver the order at his doorstep, which he denied to carry out. In response to his denial to do the bidding, the customers cancelled the order.

After the cancellation confirmed, the delivery boy ended up eating the food ordered which included a biryani, gulab jamun, and other sides. The delivery boy named as Ankur Thakur on Instagram, recorded the incident and shared it on the social media platform.

In the video, Ankur Thakur (the delivery agent) talked about how the customer misbehaved with him on call, yelled at him and told him to deliver the food upstairs as he is being paid for that so he should listen to what he says. He also spoke about how the delivery agents deliver food to the customers irrelevant of what the weather conditions would be and asks only for their kind behavior and patience in return.

The video has sparked debate on internet as some people showed concerns while some says that they pay extra especially for doorstep delivery.

In the viral video, one user commented, “Bhai doorstep delivery yehi hoti h aapko usko ghr pe hi dena chiye wo niche kyu aaye , customer handling delivery charges and premium prices convenience k liye hi deta h ! Banda khud se adjust kre toh theek but aap bhi apna job hi kr rhe ho isme uski koi galti nhi.”

Another comment said, “Bilkul sahi Keha hai Bhai ji ✅️ 💯 🙏.”
