Zirakpur: An 11-year-old boy died after his scooty skidded off near Guru Nanak Enclave, Dhakoli on Thursday. The deceased Ajaan was riding the scooty with his father Chandra Mohan Bhatt. In another incident, a young woman was found dead on the railway track near Dhakoli level crossing. Police said the victim appears to be a migrant, aged around 25 years.
Diamonds, gold jewellery stolen
Munish Kumar of Sector 19 has lodged a report that household items, Rs 5,000 and diamond, silver and gold jewellery were stolen from his sister’s house in GMCH Society, Sector 48, Chandigarh. A city resident woman has lodged a report that her “mangalsutra” was snatched by two persons on a motorcycle in Sector 50 on Wednesday. A case of snatching has been registered at Sector 49 police station.
Man attacked in Hallo Mazra
Deepak, a resident of Hallo Mazra, has alleged that Rahul attacked and threatened him near Kheda Mandir in Hallo Mazra on Tuesday. He sustained injuries and was admitted to PGI. A case has been registered under sections 324, 341, 506 of IPC at Sector 31 police station.
Lakshya School beats Atwal Sports
Lakshya School of Cricket defeated Atwal Sports XI by two wickets in the Summer Cricket League. Batting first, Atwal Sports scored 142 runs in 29 overs with the help of Vansh Raizada (41), Anubhav (19), Atharv Tyagi (13) and Riya (12). Jaswardhan and Ayan Gupta took two wickets each, while Sarvagya Sharma took one wicket. In reply, LSC scored 143/8. Harshit Taya (44), Sarvagya Sharma (30) and Jaswardhan (29) were the main scorers for the team. Vansh Raizada and Riya took one wicket each.
