Belpahad: In a tragic incident, a youth drowned in the Koilighughar waterfall in Jharsuguda district of Odisha on Saturday. He had been rushed to the hospital in Gumadera but the doctors declared him dead.
The deceased youth has been identified as Piyush Meher (18), son of Mahadev Meher of Panchgaon.
According to information, Piyush had gone to the Koili Ghoghar Shaiva Peetha with his family today to offer prayers. After offering prayers and worshipping there, he went to the Koili Ghoghar waterfall to wash various items when he drowned.
The family members immediately rescued him and brought him to the hospital in Gumadera in Belpahad area. However, the doctors there declared him dead.
