Ghaziabad (IANS) | The youth, who was detained by the Vijayanagar police station of Ghaziabad, died under suspicious circumstances on Monday night. The police have termed it as an accident while the family alleges that he was murdered. He has also accused the police of hiding the truth. On Monday, the Vijayanagar police station had called the youth for questioning in connection with the molestation case. After this, the family kept wandering here and there throughout the day in search of him. When no information was received, people gathered in large numbers and again reached Vijayanagar police station and created ruckus. At night they were told that he had died in an accident. When the police called it an accident, the relatives accused him of murder. Till late night, the relatives of the deceased kept visiting Vijayanagar police station and the post-mortem house.
DCP City Nipun Aggarwal says that Inspector Vijay and Constable Sandeep were bringing Vijaynagar police station in a private vehicle for questioning Mohammad Dilshad of Makanpur in the case of molestation. On NH-9, Dilshad took his mouth out of the car to spit. Meanwhile, he came under the grip of a truck passing by at a high speed. He was declared dead on being taken to the hospital. The police have arrested the accused driver Hukum Singh and assistant Praveen Kumar. The postmortem of the dead body is being done by the panel. If relatives give a complaint, they will investigate and take further action.
Dilshad’s brother Naushad told that he is in the business of dry-cleaning clothes and for a long time many policemen of Ghaziabad have been getting their uniforms dry-cleaned by him. After the afternoon prayers on Monday, two constables came from Abhaykhand post and called the post and asked to come to the post with uniform. He ironed the uniform and took it to the outpost. When the brother did not return for a long time, the relatives went to the outpost.
The policemen first said that he had gone to Delhi and then told that Vijayanagar police had taken him. Dilshad’s mother Meena says that the police sent him from Vijayanagar police station to Indirapuram police station. Came to Vijayanagar again from Indirapuram. Here also the police is not ready to tell anything. Just said that Dilshad had an accident. First said that due to serious injury, he has been admitted to ICU, but did not even tell the name of the hospital. Said in the evening that he died, after which the relatives reached the postmortem house. Even here no information was received, so people gathered in large numbers and again reached Vijayanagar police station and created ruckus.
