Kerala: Mancheri Mandal Youth Congress Committee led a power blockade strike at Malappuram District Medical Office demanding protection of Mancheri General Hospital and shifting of medical college to a suitable place. Police used force with the protesters. The incident took place around 1 pm on Thursday.
Youth Congress constituency president Krishnadas Vadakkil, Assembly Deputy Speaker Mufassir Nellikuth, KSU state convener Shamlik Kurikkal, Youth Congress constituency vice president Hamza Pullanchery, Shan Kodvandi, Adv. Fazrul Haque and others were taken into police custody. Kodvandi, Adv. Fazrul Haque and Asib Narukara led the protest.
