Bemetara. Taking an important initiative towards making rural youth self-reliant, a mason training program is being organized from 15 July to 13 August 2025 in village Temri located in Navagarh block of district Bemetara. This training is being conducted through SBI RSETI Bemetara (Rural Self Employment Training Institute). Under this training, along with teaching the vocational skills of mason, information about banking knowledge and entrepreneurship development is also being given to the participants, so that they can move towards self-employment in future.
RSET started in the district
After the formation of the new district, SBI RSETI Bemetara has been started from this financial year on the initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development. This institute is currently being operated temporarily in the Livelihood College campus of village Chorbhatti located on Simga Road. Here unemployed youth between 18 to 45 years are given free residential training.
Training available in more than 70 trades
Under RSETI, training is provided in about 70 different subjects, which include beauty parlor operation, female and male sewing, mobile and motorcycle repairing, AC-fridge repair, CCTV camera installation, incense sticks, candles, pickles, badi-papad manufacturing, fish farming, goat rearing, beekeeping, mushroom production etc. The objective of this institute is to motivate the youth for self-employment by giving them technical training and to connect them with the banking system so that they can become self-reliant.
Contribution of skilled masons will be available for PM Awas Yojana
Through this training program run with the cooperation of the District Panchayat, the youth of the village are getting practical knowledge of construction work. With this, they will be able to contribute as skilled masons in important programs like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the future. Also, this initiative will prove to be a strong step towards self-reliance with self-respect. In this way, not only is technical efficiency increasing, but it is also playing an important role in making the villages economically strong and self-reliant.
