Chennai. Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay arrived to pay his last respects to actor-politician Vijayakanth on Thursday. During the funeral a slipper was thrown at him. Vijayakanth died at a private hospital in Chennai on December 28 after testing positive for Covid-19. Many videos and pictures of the Leo actor from the funeral have surfaced on social media platforms. A video shows Vijay surrounded by fans and supporters who had come to pay tribute to Vijayakanth.

In the clip now going viral, Vijay can be seen wading through a sea of excited cameramen and journalists to reach Vijayakanth’s mortal remains. While talking to Vijayakanth’s family members, Vijay also became emotional and had tears in his eyes. However, what caught everyone’s attention was the misbehavior of the fans. As Vijay paid his last respects and headed towards his car, a slipper was thrown at him. His security immediately caught hold of him and threw him back where he came from.
