Ramanujganj. Sanawal police arrested the accused of raping and luring a minor away on the pretext of marriage from Uttar Pradesh. According to the police, the applicant, living under Sanawal police station area, came to Sanawal police station on September 15 and lodged a report that his minor daughter has been kidnapped by an unknown person. Based on the report, a crime was registered at Sanawal police station and taken up for investigation.
Six months later, on 22 February, the kidnapper was recovered from the possession of accused Rajan in village Sirsa under Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. While taking further action in the case, the police registered a case of kidnapping of the victim by luring her for marriage and continuously having physical relations with the accused Rajan, the accused was arrested and sent on judicial remand.
