Lucknow (IANS) | The Government of Uttar Pradesh is preparing to fill the vacant posts in the Prison Administration and Reforms Department. Regarding this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the Prison Administration and Reforms Department and the Home Department to prepare a blueprint for recruitment in a high-level meeting. In such a situation, soon a mandate can be issued to fill these posts. It may be known that at present more than three and a half thousand posts are vacant in the Prison Administration and Reforms Department. These posts are from Group A to D.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a review meeting of the Prison Administration and Reforms Department with the Home Department in a high-level meeting. During this, the officials of the department informed him that at present a total of 3504 posts are vacant in the department. He informed that 156 Group A posts are sanctioned in the department, out of which 107 posts are vacant. Similarly, 738 posts of Group B are sanctioned, in which 326 posts are vacant. Whereas in Group C and D, 10543 and 682 posts are sanctioned respectively, out of which 2808 and 263 posts are vacant respectively. In such a situation, against the total sanctioned posts of 12119, at present personnel are posted on 8769 posts, while the remaining posts are vacant. Similarly, against 7815 posts of Jail Warder, 2068 posts are vacant, for which a letter has been written to Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board on behalf of the department. The recruitment process for these posts can start in May.
And against 153 posts of Medical Officer, 36 posts are vacant. These posts are posted by the Medical and Health Department. In such a situation, the department has sent a letter to the health department. Along with this, 89 posts are vacant against 149 posts of Pharmacists, for which the Subordinate Services Selection Commission has been informed through a letter. Officials told Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that due to vacant posts, there is a problem in running the prisons smoothly. Along with this, according to the jail manual, there is a problem in providing facilities to the prisoners. On this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had instructed the government to prepare a blueprint for vacant posts in the department and issue mandates to fill the vacant posts as per rules, on which action is underway at the government level. If the experts are to be believed, soon the mandate for the recruitment of these vacant posts can be issued.
