Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has allotted Y-plus category security to Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan ahead of him taking over as deputy CM. Apart from providing Y-plus security, the government has also allotted a bulletproof car for Pawan Kalyan.
His security has been increased ahead of him taking over as Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Environment and Forest Minister on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Pawan Kalyan arrived at Gannavaram Airport and from there left for the Secretariat. He will inspect his chamber. Vijayawada Irrigation Camp Office has been allotted to Pawan Kalyan for his use. After this, he will go to Mangalgiri party office and then go to the Secretariat to inspect his chamber in another block.
Pawan Kalyan will take over as deputy CM on Wednesday itself. The government’s decision to increase Pawan Kalyan’s security is being seen as a precautionary step. His security has been increased ahead of his new role as deputy CM.
In the recently held elections, the TDP-led alliance has secured 164 seats in the 175-member assembly. The TDP alone won 135 seats, while Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party won all 21 seats. The BJP, on the other hand, won eight of the 10 seats. The YSRCP had 151 members in the previous assembly, which has now come down to 11.
