X faces massive outage in India: Show Welcome to X, users unable to access tweets

Microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter) has shut down for hundreds of users in India. The platform is showing the caption ‘Welcome to X!’ instead of the usual tweets on the feed page.

On Thursday morning, both the website and the mobile application owned by Elon Musk did not show regular tweets on the feed, instead, prompting users to read “Welcome to X!” The message presented said “This is the best place to see what’s happening in your world. Find some people and topics to follow right now.”

The massive outage has affected hundreds of thousands of users in the country. Many users who were able to access the app have started trending the #Twitterdown hashtag.

At the time this article was written, it seemed the problem was still there and not resolved. At present, there is no information about the reason behind the outage.
This is not the first time that X is not working. The microblogging platform was down in both the months of March and July this year. On March 6, users faced problems when trying to access links, images and videos.
